You do not need another developer waiting for perfectly written tickets. You need someone who can understand the business, make sound technical decisions, and take a product from uncertainty to production.

I work as a senior engineer and fractional CTO for founders, agencies and product teams that need one accountable person for architecture, delivery and the hard calls, without hiring an engineering department. Hands-on Laravel and Vue, from Riga, with clients in Latvia, the UK and the rest of the EU.

My work includes Fluss, the multi-tenant commerce platform I have built and run since 2023 (5 languages, 8 plug-ins, 51 payment gateways); Vuelo, an FCA-authorised Buy-Now-Pay-Later platform where I am one of seven engineers; and Jobsucher, an AI-assisted job-search product that went from an empty repository to paying subscriptions in eleven weeks.

What does working with me actually look like?

• In 2025 Kreboks, an agricultural marketplace I built for RGP SIA, asked for a product tagging system. Search already covered the need, so I said no in writing, and the request was closed the same day instead of costing three weeks.
• The same client wanted product import before the supplier had agreed a file format. I refused to start without a sample file: a parser written against a guess is a parser written twice.
• At Vuelo, an FCA-authorised lending platform, I own fraud prevention and the search engines behind the travel product. A mistake there is a regulator's letter, so every change ships with a written scope and a QA window before it goes live.
• This site went online on Fluss in one day in 2025 and was trilingual the next. MEEPLE, a board-game rental shop in Riga, went from tenant archive to a live store in a day. Reuse is the point of owning a platform.
• You talk to the engineer who writes the code, from Riga, in the CET time zone, in English or Latvian. There is no account manager between you and the person responsible for delivery.

When am I not the right choice?

• You need a WordPress or Shopify store at a fixed price in two weeks. An agency will do that cheaper than I will.
• You need a native mobile app. I do not build them myself; I bring in a partner from my network and stay responsible for the backend and the API.
• You want a price before a conversation. I quote after a 30-minute call, when I know the scope, because a number given blind is either too high for simple work or too low for regulated work.
